Mindful Tips for new Mums in the early days

Take moments throughout the day to take deep, mindful breaths. Inhale slowly, hold for a few seconds, and then exhale fully. This can help you stay centred and calm and more peaceful


Always try and remember that it's okay if things don't go perfectly. Embrace the messiness of motherhood and be kind to yourself. Self love is a beautiful medicine


Focus on the present moment with your baby. Put away distractions and really engage with your baby during feeding, diaper changes, and cuddle time.


Treat yourself with the same kindness love and compassion you would offer a friend or family . Be patient with yourself as you navigate this new journey. You are amazing


While multitasking can be necessary at times , try to have moments where you focus on just one thing at a time. This can reduce stress and increase your sense of presence. It really supports feeling peaceful.


Beautiful Gratitude.Take a moment each day to reflect on something you're grateful for, even if it's a small thing.


Avoid setting overly ambitious goals for the day. Instead, focus on accomplishing a few important tasks and give yourself credit for what you achieve.


Rest If possible, use your baby's nap times to rest yourself. Prioritise self-care and avoid the urge to tackle household chores and other chores needing to be done.


Don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it. Whether it's from your partner, family, or friends, accepting assistance can ease your load. I am always happy to support with you . vicki-k.co.nz


Find special little moments throughout the day to be mindful, whether it's enjoying a cup of tea, taking a short walk outside , along the beach or simply closing your eyes and breathing deeply.


Remember, mindfulness is about being kind to yourself, being fully present, and embracing the journey with an open heart. Each moment with your baby is precious, and mindfulness can help you make the most of it.
